The recipe we are going to show you today is very healthy! It is a sugar-free, dairy-free even gluten-free chocolate mousse.
I would love to tell you about the taste of this delicious mousse, but since it was so healthy Julia already ate it all and now I’m stuck with photos of a tasty chocolate mousse and a story to write.
The chocolate mousse was made just last week, since Julia and I both live in the same city you would expect she’d at least call to tell me about the chocolate mousse! But she made it while she was visiting her parents. So I asked her if they liked it… You have probably already guessed that she did not share it with her parents.
To be honest, when I make a chocolate anything I also do not feel like sharing (I mean that is what we do)…
But Julia always wants people to taste her recipes! She runs around with everything she makes trying to get people to eat it. That is what we foodies do (We make pictures of food and try to get people to eat) We like to hear that the food we make is good 🙂
Weirdly enough this was not the case… So that must mean it is the best thing ever made with chocolate! And since scientists say chocolate is healthy this must mean this dish is healthy… right??? 🙂
This recipe will feed one hungry Julia or 6 people:
- 400 gram dark chocolate (at least 70% cacao)
- zest of 1 orange
- 8 eggs
- 100 ml strong coffee
- 100 ml rum
Melt the chocolate with coffee and rum. Add the orange zest and set aside. Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites with salt. Add the egg yolks to the chocolate and stir. Fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture and refrigerate for a few hours.
